Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Wendy! I have an identity crisis all the time (and am still having them). I think that what I'm learning is that identity is fluid and changing and also so complex and multi-faceted. Sometimes, it may be hard to put a easy tag on who you are, especially when you work the nonconventional job like we do. People like things they understand and want to put us into boxes, but sometimes, we don't fit neatly between the lines. I'm learning to embrace that there may not be one way to describe who I am and what I do, but as long as I know that I'm being true to myself, I know who I am. Maybe identity is not a "thing," but it's a feeling, it's just being.

I still struggle with the question "what do you do" and my answer depends on the person, but I think what's most important is that you know what you do and that you're happy and can own that.
