This is great, Maria! I think I heard a quote like comparison is the thief of happiness, and I think that applies here. The moment we compare to others subjectively is when the deprivation starts. This also reminds me of a chapter in Mark Manson's The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*** where he talks about something similar!
